Brand identity for reopened West Sussex pub

After successfully working with chef Tom Sellers on the Michelin Starred London-based Restaurant Story, we were commisioned to help him with his second restaurant concept The Lickfold Inn.

The brief specified that the identity had to align visually with values of the pub. Craft, heritage and a sense of belonging to the local community were crucial to it's success and therefore the brand's aesthetic had to allude these characteristics.

The 15th century grade II-listed inn is steeped in history and the pairing of a traditional looking script font with a modern sans serif in the identity allude to that legacy but with a modern twist. The pub was originally called 'The Three Horseshoes' and the 'D' marque is a nod to it's provenance.
